asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the estimated amount of tax received from co-operative societies in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in respect of Schedules A and B for the fiscal year 1931–32?

The receipt of Income Tax Schedules A and B from co-operative societies is not accounted for separately, but it is estimated that on the basis of a standard rate of 5s. in the £ the Income Tax paid under Schedules A and B is in the neighbourhood of £500,000.
