Sir J. GILMOUR

An outbreak of loot-and-mouth disease was confirmed on the 17th January at Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, Durham. One beast was affected. The total stock on the premises consisted of 35 cattle, 27 sheep and five pigs, all of which were slaughtered. There has been no spread of disease from this outbreak, as to the origin of which inquiries are still being made.
