HC Deb 19 December 1932 vol 273 c748
55. Major THOMAS

asked the Minister of Transport what steps have so far been taken to distinguish main roads from byroads?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of TRANSPORT (Lieut.-Colonel Headlam)

I am not yet in a position to add anything to the replies given to my hon. Friend on this subject on 2nd November.

Major THOMAS

Is my hon. and gallant Friend aware that this is a matter of some importance, and that this question has been put down on several occasions, but no answer has been given?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

I am well aware that it is an important matter, but, until we have a report from the committee, we cannot give an answer of any kind.
