§ Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKEI beg leave to present a Petition from the citizens living in the Deritend Division of Birmingham. The petitioners are grievously affected by the excessive taxation on beer, and respectfully urge upon this honourable House the necessity of an immediate and substantial reduction of this taxation. The Petition is signed by over 2,500 taxpayers in the Deritend Division of Birmingham.
