Mr. CAPORNasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the radium commission has refused to supply any radium to the Nottingham Radium Institute for use in connection with the general and other hospitals in Nottingham; and whether he will take any action to secure for these institutions and the areas they serve a fair share of the radium held by the commission for the benefit of the nation?
Sir H. YOUNGThe radium commission are not appointed by me, but are constituted by Royal Charter. I will, however, bring my hon. Friend's representations to the notice of the commission, and will inform him in due course of the result.
