HC Deb 15 December 1932 vol 273 cc519-20
70. Mr. DUNCAN GRAHAM

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the terms of the correspondence that has passed between his Department and the Treasury with respect to the relationship of Scottish national finance to that of England?

Sir G. COLLINS

My right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer has agreed to a request that a return showing the financial relations between England and Scotland should be published. As stated by the Financial Secretary to the Treasury in reply to a question on the 12th instant, it is hoped that the return will be available before the Recess.

Mr. C. WILLIAMS

Is my right hon. Friend aware that there is a grave suspicion that the Scots are getting about four times more than they ought to do?
