HC Deb 15 December 1932 vol 273 cc510-1
44. Mr. BOULTON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what amount of revenue has been collected to date from the import duties imposed on goods from the Irish Free State?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I assume that the question refers to the duties imposed under the Irish Free State (Special Duties) Act, 1932, and the Import Duties Act, 1932. Up to the 3rd December, 1932, the revenue in respect of such duties on imports into the United Kingdom from the Irish Free State amounted to £1,238,000.
