§ Sir NICHOLAS GRATTAN-DOYLEI beg leave to present a Petition from the citizens of the Parliamentary Division of North Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The Petitioners are grievously affected by the excessive taxation on beer, and respectfully urge upon this honourable House the necessity of an immediate and substantial reduction in this taxation. The Petition is signed by 1,687 taxpayers.
