HC Deb 28 April 1932 vol 265 cc561-2
34. Mr. RHYS DAVIES

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in connection with the proposals that have been made to him in favour of an extension of the customary hours for the performance of certain classes of duties undertaken by officers of Customs and Excise, he is aware of the feeling in that service against any such extension; and whether he will ascertain and consider the views of the various grades of officials concerned before coming to a decision?

Major ELLIOT

All relevant circumstances will be taken into consideration in connection with the proposals referred to by the hon. Member.
