43. Mr. ROSBOTHAM

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his Department or the Food Council is now checking the accuracy of the prices of fish published by the Billingsgate market authorities?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Hore-Belisha)

The question of the method of compilation of the fish prices to which my hon. Friend refers was dealt with in the reply of my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries to my hon. Friend the Member for Farnham (Sir A. M. Samuel) on the 13th April, Until a conclusion has been reached as to the relevant recommendation of the Fishing Industry Committee it is not possible to say what action it may be found desirable to take.
