With regard to the second part of the question, I am in close consultation with a number of industries with a view to taking advantage of the opportunities provided by. that market The trade returns for the first two months of 1932 show an improvement in United Kingdom exports to Denmark.
§ Mr. D. GRENFELLDoes the hon. Member know that impediments to trade 366 between Denmark and this country are to be found in the arrangements between manufacturers in this country and in Denmark?
§ Mr. COLVILLEI am aware that there are certain trade arrangements which are framed with reference to trade as a whole, but the enthusiasm in Denmark for British goods is causing a very close interest to be taken in that country by our manufacturers.
§ Mr. GRENFELLIs the hon. Member satisfied that there is an awakened interest among manufacturers in this side?
§ Mr. COLVILLEYes, Sir. I would ask the hon. Member not to believe every story that he hears about the slackness of British manufacturers.
