HC Deb 27 April 1932 vol 265 c370
38. Mr. E. WILLIAMS for

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office on what days of the week it is proposed to use Mitcham Common for the training of the Regular Army; what will be the nature of the training; and if it will be such as will interfere with the free use of the common by the general public?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Duff Cooper)

I am informed that conversations are taking place between the local military authorities and the conservators of Mitcham Common regarding the use of the common by small parties of Infantry range-takers. Such use would in no way interfere with the free use of the common by the public.
