§ Sir S. HOAREI presume the hon. Member is referring to the sum of £36,000 paid by His Majesty's Government last year in respect of the Government of India's share of the surplus of the Navy, Army and Air Force Insurance Fund appropriated to the Exchequer under the provisions of the Economy Act, 1926. The position of soldiers and airmen employed in India is unaffected by this payment.
