HC Deb 20 April 1932 vol 264 c1475
Sir NAIRNE STEWART SANDEMAN

(by Private Notice) asked the Prime Minister whether he would consider the advisability of having a second Budget in the autumn, to deal with taxation, when the results of the War Debts and Reparations and Ottawa Conferences are known?

The LORD PRESIDENT of the COUNCIL (Mr. Baldwin)

My right hon. Friend indicated yesterday in his Budget Speech that proposals might have to be submitted to Parliament later to give effect to measures agreed upon at Lausanne. I cannot add in any way to this statement.

Sir N. STEWART SANDEMAN

Will that mean a reduction of taxation?

Mr. BALDWIN

I hope the hon. Gentleman will use his own common sense.
