§ 43. Mr. PEATasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the Inland Revenue are endeavouring to collect Corporation Duty levied under the Inland Revenue Act of 1885 from a number of associations formed solely for purposes of trade, whereas the Act in question does not apply to associations carrying on trade or business; and will he take immediate steps to stop the action complained of, which is adding a burden on industry and imposing disproportionate expense of collection on the Inland Revenue?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINIf my hon. Friend will furnish me with particulars of any case he has in mind I will have inquiry made.
