HC Deb 12 April 1932 vol 264 c637
5. Mr. BURNETT

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has considered the appeal from the secretary of the Moray music festival committee against the imposition of Entertainments Duty upon single entry classes; and, if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter?

The SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Major Sir Archibald Sinclair)

The appeal has been received, but it has been found necessary to ask for further information before it can be considered.

Mr. BURNETT

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether there is likely to be a decision soon on this question, in view of the number of forthcoming festivals which are dependent on it?

Sir A. SINCLAIR

I appreciate the point which my hon. Friend has made, and I am sure that there will be no unnecessary delay.
