HC Deb 11 April 1932 vol 264 cc555-6
60. Mr. PRICE

(for Mr. THORNE) asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the total amount of war debts owing to Great Britain by European countries at the conclusion of the Great War; the number of countries which had part of their debts cancelled, and the percentage of cancellation for each country, and the total amount of debts cancelled; whether the Treasury is still paying interest on the amount of the debts cancelled and if he will state the total amount of interest paid on such debts up to the end of March of the current year?
