HC Deb 30 September 1931 vol 257 c350
17. Mr. HOPKIN

asked the Minister of Transport if the scheme for the high-level bridge at Carmarthen is to be proceeded with; and, if not, what alternative methods does he propose to employ to deal with the traffic problem over the Towy at Carmarthen?

Mr. PYBUS

I am unable to state the position with regard to the scheme for a high level bridge at Carmarthen until I have received from the county council the information asked for in the circular letter addressed to all highway authorities on the 15th September with respect to limitation of expenditure. Traffic will continue to make use of the existing bridge.
