HC Deb 28 September 1931 vol 257 c35
57. Mr. THORNE

asked the hon. Member for Central Leeds (Mr. Denman) as representing the Charity Commissioners, the number of poor kindred entitled to benefit in respect of the Kensington estate of the Smith's charity scheme and the actual number in receipt of allowances for education and pensions?

Captain WALLACE

This question has been addressed to the hon. Member for Central Leeds (Mr. Denman) in error and I have been asked to reply to it. To the first part of the question the answer is in the negative. The Commissioners understand that allowances for education are being paid in respect of 19 poor kindred and pensions are being paid to 69 poor kindred and to 18 widows of poor kindred.
