§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of EDUCATION (Sir Kingsley Wood)The pension contributions paid by teachers in the year 1930–31 amounted to £2,624,134, and the total amount paid by the Board in respect of pensions to teachers in the same year was £5,330,477. There is no accumulating superannuation fund in connection with teachers' pensions, the payments being made out of money voted annually for the Board of Education and the teachers' contributions being appropriated in aid thereof.
