HC Deb 21 September 1931 vol 256 c1257
13. Major HERBERT EVANS

asked the Minister of Pensions the number of offences of fraud reported to the Ministry during 1930, and the number of prosecutions and convictions obtained during the same period?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Major Tryon)

I regret that the figures asked for by the hon. and gallant Member in the first part of his question are not available and could not be obtained without considerable research. In reply to the second part of the question, 42 prosecutions were instituted in 1930 and 41 convictions obtained.
