§ 2. Mr. ROSSasked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he is aware that, by a recent enactment of the Irish Free State, fire engines and ambulances from Northern Ireland are prevented from going to the assistance of persons who are obliged to live in that Dominion, even where such assistance cannot otherwise be provided; and whether he will make representations to the Government of the Dominion as to this situation?
Mr. M. MacDONALDThe matter in question is entirely one for His Majesty's Government in the Irish Free State. I understand that no restrictions are imposed upon fire engines and ambulances entering the Irish Free State from Northern Ireland when need arises.
Mr. MacDONALDWe have made inquiries in the right quarters, and that is the information which was received.
