CUNLIFFE-LISTERThe liabilities of the Hungarian Government in respect of British pre-War creditors are being discharged by regular instalments as provided for by the Convention concluded in 1921. After receipt of the instalment due at the end of this month a further distribution will be made on account of interest.
§ Mr. EDEDoes the right hon. Gentleman anticipate that after that it will be possible to do away with any of the staff now engaged on the work in the interests of economy?
§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERI should like to have notice of that Question. This staff are dealing with a good many matters arising out of other treaties besides the Hungarian Treaty, but they are being reduced as rapidly as possible, and all economies possible will be made.
