asked the, Financial Secretary to the Treasury how many committees of inquiry which were set up by the last Government have issued reports since the present Government took office?

So far as the Treasury is aware, none of the Committees set up by the late Government has reported since the present Government took office.

Mr. ALBERY

Is it possible to effect any economy by terminating the work of some of these committees?
