HC Deb 14 September 1931 vol 256 c496
9. Mr. DIXEY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what proportion of the cost of maintaining the League of Nations Council is borne by this country?

Captain EDEN

The expenses of the Council of the League of Nations are accounted for in the general budget of the League, and I regret that no separate estimate is available. Since the travelling and maintenance expenses of the delegates are met by their respective Governments, the actual cost of the Council falling on the League is presumably quite insignificant.
