§ Sir S. HOARESo far as I am aware no further disturbances have occurred in Kashmir during the past week. I have not yet been informed whether arrangements have been made to investigate the causes of the recent outbreaks.
§ Colonel HOWARD-BURYIs my right hon. Friend aware that the situation there is very serious indeed? Will he not do his best to have an impartial inquiry into these cases?
§ Sir S. HOAREWe are in very close touch with the situation. We have a, 783 Resident in Kashmir, and I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that we are watching the course of events very carefully.
