HC Deb 30 November 1931 vol 260 cc766-7
80. Mr. LAWSON

asked the Minister of Labour whether the Government have arrived at a decision in respect to the Hours Convention; and, if so, the nature of that decision?

Mr. HUDSON

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The second part of the question therefore does not arise.

Mr. LAWSON

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that some of the employers in the cotton industry have given notice to end the 49-hours week agreement, and will the Government bear that in mind before they arrive at a decision?

Mr. HUDSON

That does not arise out of the question on the Paper.
