§ Sir J. SIMONThe car for the Legation at Peking was purchased at a time when no service facilities were available for British cars. The only other official car in China, which is at Nanking, is of British make. It has always been the policy to supply British cars for all posts whenever possible, and this policy will be rigidly adhered to.
