§ 44. Mr. MAXTONasked the Home Secretary if he has any record of the number of British citizens who, having become naturalised in the United States of America, have returned to this country; and if he can state the procedure by which these persons can resume British citizenship?
§ Sir H. SAMUELThe statistics relating to American citizens admitted to this country do not distinguish those who had acquired their citizenship in America by naturalisation. Such persons are in precisely the same position under the statute as other aliens with regard to the conditions they must satisfy in order to obtain Certificates of Naturalisation in this country.
