HC Deb 26 November 1931 vol 260 c497
48. Mr. MAXTON

asked the Prime Minister whether there has been any increase in the Army, the Navy, or the Air Force services in the Far East during the past two months?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer is in the negative, apart from the ordinary temporary increase due to the relief of units, which will adjust itself by the end of the trooping season.

Mr. MAXTON

If I am informed that some 30 ships have gone out during the last six weeks, am I to understand that that, is a pure routine naval operation?

The PRIME MINISTER

So I under-stand.
