§ 6. Mr. T. WILLIAMSasked the Secretary for Mines what quantity of coal was in stock on 1st April, 1st July, and 1st October, 1931, in various parts of Great Britain?
§ Mr. ISAAC FOOTI am informed that the stocks of coal at mines in Great Britain amounted to 5,778,000 tons on 1st April,?,359,000 tons on 1st July, and 8,050,000 tons on 1st October.
§ Mr. WILLIAMSDo not these figures indicate that the quota schemes have not caused a shortage of coal or decreased working days?
§ Mr. TINKERAre these figures the average or more than the average of former years?
§ Mr. FOOTI must have notice of that question, and I would ask the hon. Member to let me know for what years he desires the figures.
