(for Major MILNER) asked the Secretary of State for India whether he can give the numbers of men and women employed in and about the mines in India at the last convenient date, giving separately the numbers of adult women working underground in the coal mines in Bihar and Orissa, in the coal mines in Bengal, in the coal mines in the Central Provinces, and in the salt mines of the Punjab?
