HC Deb 19 November 1931 vol 259 c1008
46. Mr. MAXTON

asked the Prime Minister how long the House will be without the services of an Attorney-General; and to whom questions usually answered by him should be addressed in the interval?

The PRIME MINISTER

I hope the absence of the Attorney-General will be of a temporary nature. Questions normally dealt with by him should be addressed to the Solicitor-General.

Mr. MAXTON

Is he competent to perform all the duties of the Attorney-General?
