HC Deb 16 November 1931 vol 259 c493
28. Sir C. CAYZER

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he has considered the representations submitted by the milk industry in favour of the increased restriction of the importation of foreign milk and milk products; and, if so, what action he proposes to take?

Sir J. GILMOUR

The representations referred to by my hon. Friend are under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement on the subject.

Sir C. CAYZER

Can my right hon. Friend assure the House that the interests of the milk producing industry in this country will not be overlooked when the Government consider their anti-dumping proposals?

Sir J. GILMOUR

I can tell my hon. Friend that this question will be considered.

Brigadier-General BROWN

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider the report of the Chamber of Agriculture on this matter?

Sir J. GILMOUR

Yes.
