HC Deb 16 November 1931 vol 259 c502
47. Mr. WEDDERBURN

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government will give effect to the recommendation of the Agricultural Conference of February, 1930, in favour of the supply of the fighting services with home-killed beef and flour and bread made from home-grown wheat?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am not at present in a position to make an announcement on this subject, which will fall to be considered in the light of all the circumstances including the need for economy in Government expenditure.
