§ Mr. LANSBURYWould the Prime Minister kindly state what business the Government propose to take?
§ The PRIME MINISTERThe Opposition Amendment to the Address will be moved to-day and the discussion continued to-morrow.
On Monday, the business will be the conclusion of the Debate on the Address in reply to the King's Speech.
Tuesday: Second Reading, Statute of Westminster Bill.
Wednesday: Expiring Laws Continuance Bill.
Thursday: Remaining stages of the Statute of Westminster Bill.
The business for Friday will be announced later. If there is time on any day, other Orders will be taken.
§ Mr. LANSBURYIn view of the fact that on two days of the week business which is not controversial is to be discussed, namely, the Statute of Westminster Bill, would it be possible for the Prime Minister to arrange that we take the discussion of the Prayer on the Transitional Payments Regulations, of which we have given notice? We should like to take it before eleven o'clock at night.
§ The PRIME MINISTERYes, it is exempted business. We would like very much to be able to give it ordinary time, and, if communications are opened up through the usual channels, I shall be very glad to make an announcement that an accommodation has been reached.
§ Mr. BUCHANANIs the Prime Minister aware that there is also a Prayer raising a very large subject? It stands in the names of several hon. Members and relates to the Anomalies Bill, as to which communications have taken place with the Minister concerned. Will the Prime Minister afford the same treatment for the discussion of that Prayer, which concerns a very large number of people?
§ The PRIME MINISTERIf my hon. Friend will enter into communication as I have suggested, with regard to that Prayer, I shall be very glad to accept any arrangement that is reached.
§ Colonel GRETTONWhen will the Statute of Westminster Bill be available to Members?
§ The PRIME MINISTERIt will be in the Vote Office to-morrow. It will be circulated in the papers to-morrow.
