asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the maximum sum that can be sent out of Soviet Russia without permission of the Government?

Mr. DALTON

I understand that the Soviet Government, like a number of other Governments, prohibit the export of their own currency. As regards exchange transactions, purchases of foreign exchange, to whatever amount, must be made through the State Banking Institutions.
