Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that research laboratory buildings and testing shops, used by a manufacturer in connection with his business and for the purpose of scientific research but not directly contiguous to the manufacturer's factories, are excluded from the benefits of derating under Section 3 of the Rating and Valuation (Apportionment) Act, 1928; and if he will state how much it would cost the Exchequer to amend the Act in order to bring such laboratories, etc., within the class of buildings derated?
