asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the present unemployment, he will consult with the various local authorities with a view to obtaining their consent to the abolition of the local taxation duty which imposes a tax of 15s. on all male domestic servants?

Was not a similar tax on female servants remitted some years ago: and does not the hon. Gentleman think that those who employ male servants are entitled to the same privilege?
