§ Mr. W. R. SMITHNegotiations for new commercial treaties including tariff provisions, have been in progress for some time between various European countries, but His Majesty's Government have not intervened in any of these negotiations. As the hon. and gallant Member is no doubt aware, we are entitled to most-favoured-nation treatment, speaking generally, in every country in Europe.
