HC Deb 14 May 1931 vol 252 c1347
26. Mr. FREEMAN

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the escape of four lions from a travelling circus at Helston, Cornwall, recently; and whether he will use his powers under the Performing Animals (Regulations) Act to order inspection of this circus?

Mr. CLYNES

I have received a report of this occurence, and I do not find anything calling for inquiry on my part. The occurence appears to have been a pure accident.
