HC Deb 14 May 1931 vol 252 cc1357-8
49. Miss WILKINSON

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the increased interest in hiking amongst many thousands of young people, he will be prepared to consider giving facilities for the passing into law before the summer Recess of the Access to Mountains Bill?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am afraid that the congested state of business makes it impossible for me at this stage to promise facilities for this Measure, which I have not yet had an opportunity of examining.

Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider encouraging the Government to hike to the mountains and stay there?
