GRAHAMSeven countries, namely, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Switzerland indicated their willingness to consider proposals for tariff reductions with a view to the possible opening of negotiations, 968 and proposals on behalf of His Majesty's Government have been put forward accordingly. Detailed negotiations have not yet been started.
§ Mr. MANDERIn connection with those negotiations, will the right hon. Gentleman endeavour to commit this country for as long a period as possible to a policy of Free Trade?
