HC Deb 12 May 1931 vol 252 cc985-6
48. Brigadier-General BROWN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any Government lands or properties have been sold since 1929 up to date; and, if so, what is the average price per acre they have been sold for?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Pethick-Lawrence)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. With regard to the second part, the information asked for is not available at the Treasury, and could not be obtained from the various Departments concerned without the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of time and labour.
