§ The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Dr. Addison)The number of additional staff employed by the Ministry consequent on the passing of the Land Drainage Act, 1930, is six. I have no information as to any additional staff which may have been engaged by local authorities, but as regards catchment boards those which have so far been constituted under the Act have each appointed, or are in the process of appointing a clerk and an engineer, in some cases on a part-time basis. It will be understood, however, that the catchment boards so far constituted have only been in office for a short time.
