(by Private Notice) asked the Minister of Agriculture if it is the fact that the work on the western arm of the breakwater at Port Isaac is about to be stopped, and the contractors' plant removed this week, and if so has he obtained independent engineering opinion thereon, and could he allow such opinion to be published so that the fishing community may be in possession of all available information?

The expenditure having reached the amount originally set aside for this purpose, it has been decided not to extend the new western breakwater at Port Isaac beyond a length of 159 feet instead of the longer length previously intended. Before coming to this decision, I was advised that there was no substance in the contention that
