HC Deb 16 March 1931 vol 249 c1664
59. Mr. ROSS

asked the Postmaster-General what percentage of rural railway stations and post offices in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, respectively, are still without public telephones?

Mr. ATTLEE

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to my predecessor's reply of the 2nd February to his question on this subject. The position is substantially unchanged.

Mr. ROSS

Does the hon. Gentleman appreciate that there is still much to be done?

Mr. ATTLEE

I appreciate that there are possibilities of improvement.
