HC Deb 16 March 1931 vol 249 cc1666-7
67. Mr. TURTON

asked the Attorney-General in how many cases, as at 10th March, 1931, the final documents have not been issued by His Majesty s Land Registry within 21 days from the date of lodging the application with the chief land registrar?

Mr. HAYES (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household)

I have been asked to reply. On the 10th March, 1931, 304 cases had been in His Majesty's Land Registry for more than 21 days. Of these, 254 were awaiting action by solicitors or expira- tion of notices. In no case was there delay from causes over which the Department had control.
