§ The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Clynes)Miss Bendiktsen was given leave to land for 12 months on the 19th January, 1930, for employment au pair at this school. When application was made to me for an extension of this period I consulted my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour, but she was unable to recommend that an extension should be granted and I accordingly felt unable to accede to the application.
