HC Deb 04 March 1931 vol 249 c384
38. Mr. BOWERMAN

asked the Minister of Transport the present position of the negotiations in connection with the reconditioning of Waterloo Bridge and the scheme for the removal of Charing Cross station to the south side of the Thames?

The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Mr. Herbert Morrison)

A statement was made on the subject yesterday by the Chairman of the Improvements Committee of the London County Council, and I understand that the Council decided to publish the report of the committee which has recently investigated the problem.

Colonel ASHLEY

May I ask whether, supposing the London County Council do endorse the recommendations of the committee—

Mr. SPEAKER

Mr. Alpass.
